Sharing is caring!

Today, I spent some time sanding the high-top pup table and 2 stools that I’ve been working on for the past few weeks. I used a random orbital sander for the task and used grits ranging from 60 grit to 220 grit. I was tedious and detailed to ensure all of the rough spots were smooth and the wood filler (applied last weekend) was smoothed out to be ready for stain.

If you remember last weekend, I went to visit the site of a future project that is to be a roughly 5ft by 10ft rustic American flag. Today, I went to Lowe’s and bought the necessary materials to complete this project, which I hope to start this week. The lumber I am going to use is plain whitewood pine as I do not care about appearance or elegance since it will have a rustic look. Each strip on the flag will be represented by a 1×6 piece of wood, so I bought 14 1×6’s that are 12 ft. long. I hope to start the flag project soon, but need to finish the pub table and stools first so that I can get those out of my shop to the customer to allow for space to work on such a large flag project. We will see what this week brings for my shop!
